HISTORY
Leaps Development and Advocacy (NPO 227/135) was established by Brenda Skelenge in 2019, culminating a 6 year journey that started with the Moholo LiveHouse in 2013.
The Moholo LiveHouse, based in Harare Khayelitsha, was a creative, youth development space where a community-based pop-up art school, The Harare Academy of Inspiration, was conceptualised.
Here the LEAPS model was developed, advancing scholar development through a holistic, replicable and community-based model of educational support services, with a strong focus on technology integration, the 21st century classroom, arts and culture, and scholar-guided learning.
